  CANTO I   Thursday April 7 --> Good Friday  
      April 8 dawn  
  Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita In mid-life journey I found myself 1300 A.D @35yrs of age  
  mi ritorvai per una selva oscura in a dark woods    
  che la diritta via era smarrita. the straight and narrow lost.    
         
  Ah quanto a dir qual era e' cosa dura How difficult to explain these woods;    
  esta selva selvaggia e aspra e forte, so savage, rough, and eerie;

  Tant'e' amara che poco e' piu' morte; Such deadly bitterness;    
  ma per trattar del ben ch'io vi trovai, but to truly tell what I found    
  diro' de l'altre cose ch'io v'ho scorte. I must tell what I discovered.    
         
  Io non so ben ridir com'io v'entrai, I'm not sure how to explain but upon entering,    
  tant'era piena di sonno a quel punto it was as if in a dream-at that point
