  Inferno: Canto XXVI      
  Godi, Fiorenza, poi che se’ sì grande, Enjoy yourself, Florence, since you're so grand,    
  che per mare e per terra batti l’ali, over land and sea you beat your wings,    
  e per lo ‘nferno tuo nome si spande! and through hell your name diffuses!    
         
  Tra li ladron trovai cinque cotali Among the thieves I found five of your    
  tuoi cittadini onde mi ven vergogna, citizens which shamed me,    
  e tu in grande orranza non ne sali. and you in great honor do not arise.    
         
  Ma se presso al mattin del ver si sogna, But if the truth be dreamed of early in the morning,
