  Canto VI   3rd Circle: Gluttons
  Al tornar de la mente, che si chiuse On regaining consciousness, which I lost  
  dinanzi a la pietà d’i due cognati, in front of the pietà of the two companions,  
  che di trestizia tutto mi confuse, that confused me with such sadness,  
       
  novi tormenti e novi tormentati new torments and new tormented  
  mi veggio intorno, come ch’io mi mova I saw all around, wherever I move  
  e ch’io mi volga, e come che io guati. and wherever I turn and wherever I gaze.  
       
  Io sono al terzo cerchio, de la piova I am at the third circle, that of the eternal  
  etterna, maladetta, fredda e greve; accursed cold and heavy rain;  
  regola e qualità mai non l’è nova. rule and quality are never new.  
       
  Grandine grossa, acqua tinta e neve Hail balls, tinted water and snow

  Urlar li fa la pioggia come cani; The rain makes them howl like dogs;
